Grammar Point:
In most situations, Chinese adjectives typically require an adverb. Here are the adverbs we are going to look at in this article:

  • 非常 fēicháng – very
  • 很 hěn – It is often translated as “very” in many dictionaries, but it does not carry as strong a meaning as “very.” It is more like when you want to express that someone “is” pretty or that you “are” tired, without adding any specific degree of emphasis.
  • 太 tài – too
  • 真 zhēn – really
  • 最 zuì – the most

McDonald’s in Taiwan is really delicious.

FYI
McDonald’s in Taiwan is considered delicious compared to many other countries. They offer more nutritious options and promote a balanced diet. They have introduced menu items like fresh fruit cups, yogurt, and low-fat milk as alternatives to the traditional fast-food offerings. In recent years, McDonald’s Taiwan has also placed a strong emphasis on food quality and local sourcing whenever possible. They prioritize the use of fresh ingredients, including locally grown vegetables and sustainably sourced meats. So next time, you can give Taiwan-style junk food a try.

OneDotDot Chinese

Whenever I ask foreigners, "Do you speak Chinese?" they often reply, "a little bit" (yì diǎn diǎn). That inspired me to create this website and translate "yì diǎn diǎn" into the quirky and fun "One Dot Dot."

It’s also a reminder that learning Chinese is a journey, and progress happens one step at a time. By learning just a little bit every day, you’ll go far!
