Adverbs for Adjective 2

Grammar Point:
In most situations, Chinese adjectives typically require an adverb. Here are the adverbs we are going to look at in this article:

• 多麼么 duōme – how or so

• 好 hǎo – quite

• 有一點点 yǒuyìdiǎn – a bit too. In spoken language, 有一點点 yǒuyìdiǎn can be shortened to 有點点 yǒudiǎn without changing the meaning. It always go with a negative expression.

• 更 gèng – even more

• 十分 shífēn – very or extremely. It is often used in formal or literary contexts.

• 特別 tèbié – especially or particularly

• 挺 tǐng – quite or fairly. It is often used in spoken language in China. It is usually ended with 的 de.

Examples

他tā多麼duōme聰明cōngmíng！ 他tā多么duōyāo聪明cōngming！
How smart he is!

這zhè個ge菜cài好hǎo好吃hǎochī这zhè个ge菜cài好hǎo好吃hǎochī
This dish is quite delicious.
