FYI
Do you know that in both Taiwan and China, it is common etiquette to take off your shoes when entering someone’s home, especially when visiting friends or family. In some cases, hosts may offer slippers or provide disposable shoe covers for guests to wear indoors, ensuring both cleanliness and comfort. This custom has its advantages, like keeping the floors clean and reducing the need for constant cleaning. But, it can be very awkward if someone’s feet smell bad. So, keeping your feet clean and practicing good foot hygiene is a good idea to prevent any uncomfortable situations.
