Grammar Point:
The way to express comparisons in Chinese is by using 比 bǐ. In this article, we will discuss how to use a verb with 比 bǐ to make comparisons.

Structure

A + 比 bǐ + B + V 得 + Adj.

Remember, when there is a verb and an adjective together, you always need to use 得 de to connect them.

I run faster than him.

I eat much less than you, so why am I fatter than you?

A + V 得 + 比 bǐ + B + Adj.

A + 比 bǐ + B + 多,少,早,晚 + V + Quantitative phares

OneDotDot Chinese

Whenever I ask foreigners, "Do you speak Chinese?" they often reply, "a little bit" (yì diǎn diǎn). That inspired me to create this website and translate "yì diǎn diǎn" into the quirky and fun "One Dot Dot."

It’s also a reminder that learning Chinese is a journey, and progress happens one step at a time. By learning just a little bit every day, you’ll go far!
