到 dào slots in right after the subject, marking that a movement is complete or a destination has been reached. It’s often paired with 來 lái (come) or 去 qù (go) to round the sentence out.
1 Structure
S + 到 dào + Place + (Do what)
到 dào is often used with verbs of motion — like 來来 lái (come), 去 qù (go), or other action verbs — to show the movement toward a location has been completed.

💬 FYI — Jay Chou
周杰倫周杰伦 Zhōu Jiélún (Jay Chou) is a hugely influential Taiwanese singer-songwriter, producer, actor, and director. Even native speakers sometimes struggle to catch every word in his songs — his singing style blurs the pronunciation quite a bit, so don’t worry if you can’t make out the lyrics at first.
