Before we look up the life words in Chinese, let me tell you a fun fact. In Taiwan, cash is still very important. Many local small vendors do not accept credit cards. So, remember to bring some cash when you travel to Taiwan. Don’t worry about safety! Taiwan ranks 2nd safest country in the world, according to a 2020 mid-year crime index released by the global database Numbeo. And if you run out of your cash, you can find an ATM in any convenience store.

OneDotDot Chinese

Whenever I ask foreigners, "Do you speak Chinese?" they often reply, "a little bit" (yì diǎn diǎn). That inspired me to create this website and translate "yì diǎn diǎn" into the quirky and fun "One Dot Dot."

It’s also a reminder that learning Chinese is a journey, and progress happens one step at a time. By learning just a little bit every day, you’ll go far!
