Reading Passage

黑猫咪咪
The Black Cat Mimi

小明和他的猫咪咪在花园里玩。咪咪是一只黑色小猫，他喜欢在树上睡觉。小明在树下说：“咪咪，下来跟我一起玩！”但是咪咪还是在树上，咪咪只想睡觉。小明生气地说：“咪咪，晚上不给你饭吃了！”

这时候，咪咪看到一颗大苹果，苹果又红又香，很漂亮。咪咪用手打了打苹果，苹果掉了下来。小明看到苹果说：“咪咪，你如果要吃苹果就快点下来！不然我就自己吃了。”咪咪听完马上从树上下来了。

Xiǎomíng hé tā de māo mīmī zài huāyuán lǐ wán. Mīmī shì yì zhī hēisè xiǎo māo, tā xǐhuan zài shùshang shuìjiào. Xiǎomíng zài shùxià shuō: “Mīmī, xiàlái gēn wǒ yìqǐ wán!” Dànshì mīmī háishì zài shùshang, mīmī zhǐ xiǎng shuìjiào. Xiǎo Míng shēngqì de shuō: “Mīmī, wǎnshang bù gěi nǐ fàn chīle!”

Zhè shíhou, mīmī kàn dào yì kē dà píngguǒ, píngguǒ yòu hóng yòu xiāng, hěn piàoliang. Mīmī yòng shǒu dǎle dǎ píngguǒ, píngguǒ diào le xiàlai. Xiǎomíng kàn dào píngguǒ shuō: “Mīmī, nǐ rúguǒ yào chī píngguǒ jiù kuài diǎn xiàlái! Bùrán wǒ jiù zìjǐ chīle.” Mīmī tīng wán mǎshàng cóng shùshang xiàlái le.

Xiao Ming and his cat, Mimi, were playing in the garden. Mimi is a black little cat who likes to sleep in the trees. Xiao Ming said from below the tree, “Mimi, come down and play with me!” But Mimi remained in the tree; he only wanted to sleep. Xiao Ming, feeling angry, said, “Mimi, I won’t give you food tonight!”

At that moment, Mimi saw a big apple. The apple was red and fragrant, very beautiful. Mimi used his paws to tap the apple, and it fell down. Xiao Ming, seeing the apple, said, “Mimi, if you want to eat the apple, come down quickly! Otherwise, I’ll eat it myself.” After hearing this, Mimi immediately came down from the tree.
