In Chinese, “furthermore” can be expressed using the word 而且 érqiě. It’s a conjunction used to connect related information, often adding emphasis.

Note: 而且 érqiě and 並并且 bìngqiě are very similar and sometimes interchangeable, but 並并且 bìngqiě is slightly more formal or literary.

This 不但 búdàn can be replaced by many different phrases that have the meaning of “not only,” such as 不只 bùzhǐ, 不單单 bùdān, and 不僅仅 bùjǐn.
